These are not just your ordinary pies! We make our pies and squiches with the same care and quality that you and I do in our own kitchens, we don’t use additives to make the pastry quickly, we use a fridge and let it relax overnight. We use butter and enrich our pastry with free-range eggs, most pie makers use margarine because it’s cheap. All our meat is hand cut by master butchers, not machinery and we work really hard to source our ingredients as locally as we can with the majority of our meat, milk and cream being organic and coming from the Goodwood Estate.
We’ve created the pies with outstanding quality ingredients and the pastry really does taste amazing when cooked in the oven but if you really can’t wait, you could give your pie a couple of minutes in the microwave, just check it’s piping hot in the middle but honestly, a microwave doesn’t do it justice.
Not yet, but we’re working on it, so please do check back regularly to see how we’re getting on. Currently we don't have enough space for a totally separate gluten-free area.
The only product that we add sugar to is the red onion marmalade squiche.
No unfortunately we don’t do meat and potato, cheese and onion or pork pies currently, BUT keep an eye on our store because we introduce limited editions at various times throughout the year

Our meat is not Halal but the majority is single sourced and is organic from the Goodwood Estate. Organic farming is recognised as having particularly high standards of animal welfare, the animals are not routinely and indiscriminately administered anti-biotics and steroids and are all naturally outside bred. Our chicken is British and free-range.
The pies will arrive to you with an 6-day chilled shelf life and 6-months frozen. The squiches will arrive with a 4-day chilled shelf life and 6-months frozen.
Yes, all our products freeze beautifully and if freezing your pies and squiches, we would recommend cooking from frozen. The Beef and Lamb is organically reared from the Goodwood Estate and is all hand cut by their master butchers. The chicken is British and free-range. The game is naturally free to roam the South Downs and comes from South Downs Venison.
